Sound design - Composing
Terminal
October 2023 - May 2024
You can find timestamps in the description.
Our end of studies project.
I was the sound designer and music composer of our team.
This project allowed me to learn how to use Wwise, especially Rooms and Portals.
I also improved quite a bit on my sound design skills, especially having clearer sound design intentions so as to better express the game’s intentions. Thanks to the previous point, I also learned how to stay coherent within those intentions.
I am very proud of this one.
Azureus - Redesign
July 2024
I made this redesign in about 10 hours of work.
I focused on giving a realistic vibe to the SFXs, while giving myself some room to emphasize on big moments.
I used Sonniss audio bank for most of the sounds.
RATATATA !
June 2023 - In Progress
A project we started with 3 classmates as an internship.
I am in charge of sound design, music themes and I also integrate those sounds in Unity.
I am also in charge of the level design, waves of ennemies and general game balancing.
We recorded our own voicelines for the rats in our games.
PinClash
May 2023
Project Length : 1 week
We made a 1v1 variant of pinball as part of our classes.
I got a lot better at using synths to make sounds.
Overall the Ball
February 2023 - May 2023
I recorded myself playing guitar and added drums and bass to create the metal/rock tracks in the game. I used Ableton Live.
In order to make the “hammer” and “ball eating the player” sounds, I recorded myself with a Zoom H2N, hitting my metal frontdoor with a mallet (my door is fine).
I made the “special move” sound by assembling a white noise to make a thunder hit sound, along with a distorded bass synth sound on Ableton. I finished by adding a boxing match bell in so as to add to the “fighting” spirit of the game.
Overall, this project is that first one which really got me into sound design.
